PTA is the largest advocacy group and is committed to improving the quality of education and the welfare of children everywhere.

Primary PTA goals are:

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship
• To raise the standards of home life
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education

We would like to welcome you as a volunteer to Murdock and express our appreciation for the time that you will be sharing with us. To become a volunteer, you only need the willingness to share yourself, your time, and your talents with the children of Murdock.

Some programs involve only a small amount of time. Many projects can be completed at home, so working parents and parents with preschool children can help us, too! Your involvement helps ensure the success of our students. Please feel free to contact any PTA Board Member listed for further information.

PTA Volunteers Needed!

  The Murdock PTA is seeking committee chairs and volunteers for the following committees for the 2011-2012 school year. If you are interested or have questions, you may contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Beth Rezendes at a.rezendes@comcast.net. 

After-school clubs -
Assist facilitators in organizing and supervising the after school enrichment programs (Volunteers needed). 
Marketing/ Ad Sales -
Help with sales of ads to be placed in Murdock PTA publications (Chair and volunteers needed).
Membership -
Organize Annual PTA Membership Drive (Chair needed).
School Store -
Sell school supplies to Murdock students at the Mustang Market (Chair and volunteers needed).
